PESHAWAR: The second Snow Sports and Cultural Festival will be held on February 25 at Gabin Jabba on the Swat Valley of Hussain Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The arrangements for the festival have been finalized. These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Swat Junaid Khan while talking to media.
Steps are being taken for the development and development of the region with the aim of projecting a soft image of the region. He said that the number of tourists is increasing day by day which is a great achievement for us. This would be the second major festival this month after the Kalam Festival in which various sports and cultural events would be held. Gabin Jabba and Malam Jabba are attractive, sensual and charming places of Swat. They are taking steps to attract tourists to all the tourist places of the province including them.
Promoting tourism along the lines, creating employment opportunities for local people Tourism is the only major source of livelihood and employment for the people of Malakand. Activities like Snow and Cultural Festival will attract local and foreign tourists. The festival is being organized under the auspices of District Administration Swat and District Sports Office Swat. Junaid Khan said that besides Judo, Wushu, Ski, Tagball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Weightlifting, Mass Wrestling and Archery, Food Stalls, Traditional Stalls, Food Courts, Children’s Games, Ice Village, Khattak Dance, Rabab. There will be kalashi, drama and traditional songs.
At the request of the Chief Minister, best arrangements are being made for the festival this year as well. Last year, athletes from all over the country performed well on various routes. It is expected that more tourists will come this year and enjoy sports and cultural activities. He said that the purpose of organizing the festival is to promote tourism and attract more domestic and foreign tourists while it will give a positive image to the world that peace has been restored here.
