Peshawar : The Azadi Sports Gala organized by the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended in a grand ceremony at the Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar in which male and female players participated in cricket, football, squash, table tennis, gymnastics, badminton, karate, taekwondo, jujitsu.
In the closing ceremony, former Caretaker Sports Minister Mutiullah, Secretary Sports Captain retired Mushtaq Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Shah Fahad, Director General Sports Captain (retd) Khalid Mehmood distributed prizes to the players, Director Youth Affairs Irfan Ali, Administrator Hayatabad Sports Complex Shah Faisal, Director Nimatullah Marwat and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Apart from sports, culture night and firework display were also held in Jashan Azadi Gala organized by Directorate General of Sports and Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pashto singers performed in the culture night.
