New Zealand has announced its squad for the T20 series against Pakistan starting from April 18 this month.
All-rounder Michael Bracewell will lead the Kiwis for the first time due to the absence of key players from New Zealand.
Nine key players, including New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and Mitchell Santner, will be unavailable for the T20 series against Pakistan due to playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and one county player.
According to New Zealand Cricket, Will Young will not be available due to playing county while Tom Latham will not be available due to domestic commitments and Tim Southee has been rested for the Pakistan tour under workload management.
The squad includes both experienced and new talent, with 7 players having already been part of the T20 World Cup squad.
Tim Robinson and Will Orarke have been included in the Kiwi squad for the tour of Pakistan for the first time.
Apart from this, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, Dan Foxcroft, Ben Lister and Cole McConaughey, Adam Milne, Jimmy Neesham, Ben Sears, Tim Siffert and Ash Sodhi will also be part of the Kiwis team.
It should be noted that the series of 5 T20 matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will start from April 18. The New Zealand cricket team will leave for Pakistan on April 12.
