A major motor sports race event KP Sports Fest (Autocross) organized by the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has begun at Peshawar Sports Complex, in which more than 120 vehicles from across the country are participating in six different categories.

The race was officially inaugurated by Director General Sports Abdul Nasir, accompanied by Director Operation Naimatullah Marwat, Deputy Director Jamshed Baloch, Organizing Secretary Muhammad Saad and other dignitaries.

Talking to the media, DG Sports Abdul Nasir said that the main objective of organizing the event is to promote motor sports in the province and in the same vein, an automotive car show was also organized last month. The said event is being organized as per the vision of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the leadership of the Provincial Minister for Sports Syed Fakhar Jahan.

Deputy Director Jamshed Baloch while talking to the media said that this is the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that this event is being organized in which 200 vehicles participated in the first phase, out of which 120 vehicles were selected for the final race. He said that the race includes races of 6 different categories, including front wheel drive, all wheel drive, four wheel drive, small vehicle, and drivers participating in the category of beginners will demonstrate their driving skills.

The youth took extraordinary interest in the Auto Cross Show, which was held for the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and more than 200 vehicles from all over the country registered, out of which 120 vehicles were selected for the final round.
