Dubai Capitals officially booked their place in the ILT20 Season 4 playoffs after a commanding 6-wicket victory against Sharjah Warriors in Match #27 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Capitals delivered a clinical bowling performance to restrict Sharjah Warriors to 134/8. Despite resistance from Johnson Charles (43) and Monank Patel (24), the Warriors’ batting lineup failed to cope with Dubai’s disciplined attack. Haider Ali and Waqar Salamkheil led the charge with two wickets each, while Muhammad Nabi, Mustafizur Rahman, and David Willey chipped in with one apiece.
In reply, Dubai Capitals chased the target with confidence and control. Shayan Jahangir’s fluent 51 at the top provided the perfect start, while Jordan Cox’s unbeaten 61* anchored the innings and guided his side home without panic. The chase underlined Dubai’s batting depth and composure under pressure.
For Sharjah Warriors, Sikandar Raza’s two wickets offered brief hope, but the low total left little margin for error.
This victory proved decisive, as it confirmed Dubai Capitals’ qualification for the ILT20 Season 4 playoffs, marking a major milestone in their campaign.
